The Body Control Pilates Association was founded in 1996 with the goal of bringing the benefits of Pilates to all.

The Association has an excellent reputation for the quality of its teaching and in August 2005 was the first specialist Pilates training provider to receive approval against the national UK standard governing the teaching of Pilates matwork. This standard is endorsed by SkillsActive, the Register of Exercise Professionals and is recognised by the European Health and Fitness Association
